The Kick-Ass Mystic Ninjas began as the sidekick nickname given to Summer Brooks and Joe Murphy on the original incarnation of “Dragon Page: Wingin’ It”. The nickname was the winning entry in a contest held to “Name the Sidekicks” back in the summer of 2005. Later, after much fan input and numerous fan requests, the Kick-Ass Mystic Ninjas spun off into their own show, focusing on older science fiction and fantasy books, television, and movies. After a few guest appearances, Dragon Page regular David Moldawer was added as a KAMN regular, and he eventually gained his own status as a full ninja after penning a brilliantly comedic skit that appeared on “Dragon Page Wingin’ It”.
Bringing you a mix of reviews and analysis of older novels, TV shows and movies from the science fiction, fantasy and horror vaults that you might have forgotten about or never heard of their first time around, typical shows run 45-60 minutes, with all three Ninjas discussing at length various points and details about the novel, show or film they’re tackling that episode.
The show changed during the spring of 2007, after Joe Murphy lost his brief battle with cancer, but returned with a new cast of ninjas to continue the task of introducing new fans to old works of scifi and fantasy.
